WIlliam's first Salmon - May 5th, 2007 report

Today William, Dad, Jay and I ran up to the lake for a quick mid-afternoon fishing trip after William's Tee-ball game.   William was really excited to be going fishing with the guys, even if it was right in the middle of the day. After getting William all set up with his NEW life jacket, we turned East out of the chute and set up in 10 FOW.  We found the water to be a LOT clearer that it's been the past few weeks.  Water temps were up a bit too.  William caught the biggest fish of his life today.  He was all smiles as he and Grandpa reeled it in, but as soon as the fish hit the deck, William was on the seat telling the whole crew that "this fish is MEAN".  He really didn't want to have his picture taken with it, so Grandpa picked him up and reassured him the the fish wouldn't get him.   He was pleased as punch that he caught the biggest fish of the day.  The fish came on a Dreamweaver Glow Frog fished off of a rigger set down 10 ft. out over 18 FOW.  We only stayed out for a couple of hours, but we all had a great time.  We capped off our day by going to dinner at Cutters.  William was in his glory having dinner with the guys!  Needless to say, he slept the entire way home.
