A red, white, and CHROME 4th of July in Ludington, MI
I'm
in MI visiting my sister who lives in Holland, MI and today I joined Shane, Roger and the crew from Dreamweaver Lures on the Dreamweaver III as we fished for a few
hours out of Ludington this morning. There was a big blow a few days ago that just piled up super cold water on shore, so we headed out looking to capitalize on what mother nature had given us. After a short search for a temperature break we got into some nice steady
steelhead action in the pea-soup fog. Most fish came on 3 and 4 color cores fished
off of inline planers. Best spoons today were the DW Super-Slim Mixed
Veggies and a new prototype that the steelhead just loved....something that they're calling an Orange Slurpee...I sure hope
you're sending some of them my way soon Shane. I think you have a big hit on your hands. Here's a few pics from today. Our biggest fish was a gorgeous 12# Steelhead. We boated several steelhead, a small king, and a "bonus" laker today.

I owe a big THANK YOU to Shane & Roger for their hospitality today. I had a great time, made some new friends and look forward to coming back and fishing with them again someday. You guys have a great fishery on Lake Michigan. Wish I had more time to explore it, but it's almost time to pack up the family and head back to my home port of Fair Haven on Lake Ontario.

I hope you all had a great 4th of July celebration with your families. I sure did!
We'll be back at it in Fair Haven next weekend. Hope to see you on the water.
