FIshing Report - August 23, 2007

We had more Greek Peak Ski Instructors on board today, and more big, aggressive, hungry Kings in the net!  Today we were joined by Mike and Phil (the Ski Instructors) and Joe and John.  The South wind is still doing it's thing, so we did our thing in that same water in closer to shore.  Funny thing was, today we took a few fish on the green spinny/fly rigs right off the bat, but then they went quiet and our spoons lit up.  We have this one Dreamweaver Mag sized super-glow frog that took the two biggest fish of the day off of riggers down 20' with the lure stretched back 35'.  It was SO COOL to see these big boys coming out of the water right behind the boat...they came to the net pretty full of attitude since we hooked them in cold, cold water right near the surface.

Smiles and high-fives were the norm this morning....the guys couldn't believe how hard these fish fight.  They're Cayuga Lake fishermen who are used to 3-5lb lakers on the end of the line.  Every time one of them got on a rod we kept hearing things like "Holy S#$%!"....the adrenaline level on the boat was on high all day with these guys.  I think they're hooked, and we certainly look forward to fishing with them again next year.  Thanks for a really fun day guys.

Until next time, Fish On!
