Happy New Year

It's hard to believe that 2007 is over and we're already into 2008.  We spent our New Years Day out on the hill skiing with the kids.  For me, it was a great way to ring in the New Year!  I hope that 2008 is a fantastic year for you, and we hope to see you out on the water in the spring.  Until then, you'll find us out on the snow enjoying what Mother Nature has to offer!

Wild Willy is riding the chairlift and skiing from the top of the hill on his own these days!

In other news, I hope you've taken the time recently to visit our main website.  There are lots of new improvements that I think you'll enjoy.  We've thoroughly updated our Photo Album Page to include a photo viewer and a new slide show feature.  There's also a cool "TV" slide show on the Home Page.  But the most exciting addition is a direct feed to Lake Ontario United that we've added to our Home Page.  It's basically a widget that parses the RSS feed from LOU and displays the most recent article/posts on our site.  Check it out.  We think you'll really enjoy it!

Until next time, Fish On!

      Dana,
You definitely DO NOT want to use copper line for dipsys.  Copper is a deployment device all by itself.  It works similar to leadcore...you just let it out the desired amount and troll with it (sort of).  For your dipsy set-ups I would recommend 7-strand stainless steel wire in 30# test.  Malin, Mason, and AFW make it.  We use the AFW brand and like it a lot.  Tom Allen over at A-TOM-MIK sells the wire that we use.  We wrap a piece of electrical tape around the spool and then tie the wire on.  The electrical tape will help keep the wire from spinning on the spool.  Be sure you put the wire on TIGHTLY.  If you don't put it on tight, the slack will cause the wire to cross over itself and you'll have big problems the first time a big King takes off on a run.

      Hope this helps!
