NEW IntelliTroll from Cannon for 2010
I just received the following info from Cannon announcing their new Intellitroll Speed & Temp unit. We did a bunch of pre-production testing for Cannon on this unit last year and I'm really excited to see what the finished product looks like and how it works. We were running the unit through our Mag 20's and displaying the data on our Humminbird 1157C via the Cannonlink feature and it worked pretty slick. This is the first time I've actually seen the head unit however, and I think it looks pretty cool. I can't wait to get my hands on a production model and put it through its paces.

Heard that Cannon was coming out with a new unit. Thanks for posting the info. Bummer that they dropped the light intensity from the previous unit. Probably was the most important feature as far as lure selection went.

I'm happy to post the info for you. We really liked what we saw of the new probe and I can't wait to see one now that they've gone into full production with them.

I like it Billy. How does the probe size compare to a raider?

The new probe has a smaller frontal diameter than the DR does, but its a bit longer. We tested a pre-productuon probe last summer and it didn't have any more blowback than our DR probe does. We also had consistent signal with 250' of cable out. I look forward to seeing it in action now that its gone into production.
